Data sources

CharityGuide.com.au draws on three primary public sources, all licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.

  • ACNC Charity Register — the official list of registered charities, with status, size, beneficiaries, addresses and responsible persons. Source: data.gov.au/dataset/acnc-register.
  • Annual Information Statement (AIS) — annual revenue, expenses, donations, government grants, staff and volunteers reported by each charity. Source: data.gov.au — 2023 AIS.
  • Enforcement register — public ACNC compliance actions (revocations, warnings, undertakings). Source: ACNC — action taken against charities.
