Complaints, corrections & takedown

We take corrections seriously. CharityGuide.com.au only publishes data computed from public ACNC sources, but errors are still possible. Use this form if you believe a profile is inaccurate, misleading, defamatory, or should be removed.

Our 7-day SLA

Every complaint is acknowledged within 24 hours and substantively addressed within 7 days. This is the basis on which we rely on the digital intermediary innocent-dissemination defence under the Defamation Act 2005 (as amended).

By submitting you confirm your statements are made in good faith and based on a sincere belief in their accuracy.

What we will do

  • Acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours.
  • Verify the underlying ACNC data and any computed signals.
  • Where the underlying data is incorrect, correct or remove the affected content within 7 days.
  • Where the data is correct but the framing is misleading, revise the page or add a clarifying note.
  • Where we do not believe a takedown is warranted, explain why in writing.

What we cannot do

  • Change the ACNC source data — for that, contact the ACNC.
  • Remove a charity profile simply because the charity disagrees with the score. The methodology is published in full at /methodology; if there is an error in the underlying inputs, we will fix it.
  • Provide legal advice.
